Melisa Can

Melisa Can (born May 12, 1984 in Iowa) aka Michelle Marie Campbell is U.S. born Turkish female basketball player at the power forward position who plays for Adana ASKİ.
She acquired Turkish citizenship in 2010 and consequently adopted the Turkish name of Melisa Can.〔(Campbell'dı Melisa oldu )〕〔(2010 - 2011 | Michelle Marie Campbell v3. )〕
Melisa Can (previously known as Michelle Campbell) is an American power forward with Turkish Passport (Bosman) who after a good career at Rutgers has played for several years in Europe where she was the Turkish top scorer in 2009-10 with 21.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
After playing for Notre Dame High School, Michelle Campbell joined Rutgers in the 2002-03 season.
She averaged 5.6 points as freshman and 7.5 points as sophomore. Michelle had her best season at Rutgers in 2004-05 with 11 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and was named as the most improved player in the Big East conference and in the third best team.
In 2005-06 and as a senior player, Michelle averages 8.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, being Big East regular season Champion and advancing until the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
During her four years at Rutgers, Michelle Campbell played with players like Matee Ajavon (5th pick WNBA Draft 2008), Essence Carson (7th pick WNBA Draft 2008), Kia Vaughn (8th pick WNBA Draft 2009) or Cappie Pondexter (2nd pick WNBA Draft 2006).
Once her college career was over and after attending the Mystics summer camp in 2006, Michelle Campbell signed with Israeli Raanana Herzeliya where she averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds per game to finish the season playing for Torun in Poland where she averaged 15.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
Michelle started the 2007-08 season in Latvia playing for Cesis, where she averaged 24.3 points and 9 rebounds per game.
In November she moved to Ceyhan in Turkey where she averaged 13 point and 10.1 rebounds per game, reaching the Turkish cup semifinals.
After a short stance with Detroit Shock in the 2008 summer, Michelle returns to Ceyhan, to play the 2008-09 season and averages 15.5 points and 10.2 rebounds (fourth best rebounder).
Michelle plays the All Star Game and receives a Honorable mention.
Again Ceyhan is her destination in the 2009-10 season and Michelle Campbell is the top scorer in Turkish league with 21.4 points per game, plus 8.9 rebounds with 69,2% from the field.
Michelle is named in the second team in Turkish league.
After her great season and with her new Turkish Passport, Michelle Campbell (Melisa Can now) signs with Galatasaray for the 2010-11 season, making her debut also in Euroleague.
In Galatasaray, Melisa Can averages 7.5 points and 6.2 rebounds in 21 minutes per game (52% from the field) in Turkish League, reaching the League Finals and winning the Turkish Cup.
Melisa averages 5,4 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes per game in Euroleague.
